About Information Technology
INTRODUCTION
The department of Information was started in 2012 and enrolled its first batch of students into its pioneering programme of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc-IT), in the academic year 201/2013. Currently, the department offers programmes at Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Masters and PhD levels. In additional, the department services other schools through the Common Information Technology programmes (Common IT)

To be a center of excellence in teaching, research and professional development in field of Information Technologies.

To develop and nurture competent, innovative and skilled Information Technology personnel capable of acting as agents in the design, development and implementation of contextualized innovative IT solutions globally for the good of humanity.

DEPARTMENTAL QUALITY OBJECTIVES

To increase the academic publication to refereed journals to 20 annually.

To undertake programme review for Certificate, Diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses every four years.
